Riding the shuttle to Logan Pass was our goal for the day. We started out by going to the bus stop in our campground for the 9:06 shuttle. We did get seats, but the next stop had people standing, and it only got worse. The lower buses are 23 or so passenger, and then we got to a transfer point and had to get on a 15 passenger van type shuttle that they will only take 13 on, so we had some waiting to do. The upper part of the drive is the narrow and twisting part, so they use the smaller buses.

Road construction all along the upper part of the road contributes to many delays, but still the shuttles are the way to go, even if you have a small car. By 10 or 10:30 am the parking lot at the top is full, and it was funny to see everyone orbiting to find a spot. They finally closed the lot and I guess sent you down the hill on the other side to get a shuttle back up.

The shuttles are fun to ride. You hear all kinds of stories and talk to people from all over. There was a large oriental family that had to split up and ride a couple of different shuttles. We kind of expected them to be foreign, but they were from Michigan. Several from Florida, and some foreign language.
Later we drove into West Glacier to the Canadian center to find out about the boat tour in Waterton Park which is basically the same park, but the Canadian side. There are a couple of stamps you can only get by taking the boat to the end of a lake there in Waterton. It sounded like something we wanted to do, so we made plans for that.

But I think that did it for Tuesday. Pictures later when I have a signal and time to put them in.
